Does SP2 whack something about IE using proxies?

I use a program called proxomitron to eliminate pop up ads and ads on
websites.
After i installed SP2 this program yet still configured properly fails to
work.
All the proxies in IE are the same settings and the program is installed
properly.
I downloaded and installed Netscape just to see if it is the browser and
after configuring that
the same as IE,the program fails to block ads there either. The program is
on the list of allowed
programs in the windows firewall and i even turned that off, still no luck.

Any ideas?

Check that program's website to see if there are issues with SP2.
I have a feeling people are going to find out the hard way some apps
won't work after installing SP2.
