Does anyone know what this file does?

The file name is ctfmon.exe, it seems to cause a problem
with the video in a couple of my games. does anyone know
what could be the problem?

There is a video conflict with this file in XP. To give

you a temporary fix. Go to Search and find the file in
Windows/System32 directory (only), rightclick it and
click rename. Change the name to ctfmon.old and click
Enter. That should solve it. You can always go back and
rename it back to ctfmon.exe

That file is related to the language settings if you have more than one input
language installed for your keyboard. You can turn it off by going to control
panel>regional and language options>languages>details. Delete the other input
language so you only have one and ok your way out. Reboot and it will not load
anymore.
