Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents -- Shared Folder missin

I have looked around this board for suggestions to this problem, and none of
them has restored the shared folder. I have gone into the security setting
for the documents folder, and it will not change to shared, it will not let
me rename it, it will not change in any way. I cannot delete and replace it.
No folder on my computer will allow itself to be shared, because an error
message comes up saying that this \Docments file is not accessible.

The only change that has occurred to my computer recently -- and I don't
know if this is pertinent -- is that during a failure of my wireless
connectivity I seem to have switched from a simple wireless connection into a
gateway. I have had no luck getting rid of this. However, I wonder if the
gateway status is what is preventing file sharing.

Thanks for looking at this. It's quite a bore.

have you tried booting into safe mode and removing ALL network entries ?
adapters , protocols etc.

then reboot and let them reinstall ...it may sort itself out..

I'm not knowledgable to know exactly how that's done, I'm afraid. Can you
tell me, briefly?
