The text on this web page
http://ramblinwreck.collegesports.com/sports/m-basebl/stats/2003-2004/ncaa06.html
displays in "T WP Boxdrawing" font which is unreadable. The rest of the web
page is displayed correctly. If I cut and paste the WP Boxdrawing
characters to Wordpad, for example, it is translated to readable text. Any
ideas why?

It may be this: I noticed that some of the content is specified to be
font-family:monospace; it may be that IE is picking a default monospace font
that is wildly unreasonable. IE6 often picks default fonts that are
completely unreasonable, and it (unlike other browsers) offers no way for
you to specify something more reasonable, e.g. Courier New.

If you have WP BoxDrawing showing as the Plain Text Font in
IE-Tools-Internet Options-Fonts, then change it to use a more suitable
monospaced font.
That site shows as Courier New to me (as that is what I have set)
