Disk Quotas

Mark McCurdy

According to article 326212 I can put disk quotas on the Root drives of my
2003 file server. Is there a way to put it on individual folders? What I'm
trying to accomplish is putting file quotas on my users Private Drives or
User Drives (as defined in AD Users & Computers tool). I want to limit how
large their folders can grow.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Hello Mark,

sorry, with the Quotas in W2k or WS2k3 you are only able to assign quotas per
Partition. If that's an option you can partition your drives so that they
reflect your needs (e.g. homedrives on a different partition) but if you really
need to set quotas on different directories you need to get a 3rd-party
solution.

Gruesse - Sincerely,
