Disk full error

Help!... I tried installing a HP printer driver on our main file server and
now I can't run anything (even Event Viewer!). All I get is the error
message "Disk is full" - but there is at least 500MB free on C: drive and
over 1GB on the other drives...

Can anyone tell me what is going wrong?!?

Thanks again,
Cameron:)

Can you stop a spooler and delete the printer drivers?

Yep - I can delete stuff quite easily, but can't install any software or run
anything MMC-based.

I can start/stop services.. for now anyway. I can't find Computer
Management or ADUC anymore either and am close to pulling what's left of my
hair out.. (*!?!*) I need another coffee.. :-(

Thanks for your help,
Cameron:)

We all need more coffee.
Pardon my triviality, but anyway: Safe mode, Directory Restore mode?

I'll give it a try.. Since about 9:00pm last night we're getting 'NTDS
Replication 1480' and 'NTDS KCC 1014' errors and our other DCs can't get the
Browser list, so this box is slowly strangling itself again.

There is plenty of HDD space, and until now DCDIAG was all roses, so some
setting must be screwed somewhere. Question is: Where do I go from here?!?

Thanks again,
Cameron:)

Answering my own question: There is nothing quite like re-installing the
OS - for the fifth time! I'm getting good at that now. :-(

Maybe Linux is the way to go....

What shall I say? Take care. Maybe Novell will strangle Linux as successful
as it did with its own Netware...

Thanks for your help - I really appreciate it. :)

I still wish I knew what went wrong - but then maybe I'd know more than
Microsoft.. and that can't be a good thing.

Take care.

We were getting the same error message 1480 NTDS Replication on our Domain Controller. We checked both our C: and D: drives had enough free space (around 5 GB on each drive) but still were not able to replicate to other DC's.

We checked that we were not able to delete any connection objects which this server had with other servers from DSSITE.msc or ADSIEDIT.

Then we had a close look at the HP Logs where we found array accelator battery issues, we rebooted the box and were able to replicate to other DCs.
