DISK BOOT FAILURE. PLEASE INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER?

I get this after trying to do an install with Win2k Pro. It doesn't seem to see the files that it just
installed to the hard drive when doing the first reboot. My CMOS settings are correct - in that I have it
boot from the CD initially then when it reboots I change the settings to boot from C only. I remove the
CD as well. I've used multiple hard drives. Motherboard is an older Asus P2B. Never had a problem with
it before - have done several installs over the years with Win2k Pro. I am using a SCSI hard drive now
with Win2k but I'm trying to load the newest install on to an IDE. I removed the SCSI card and hard
drive prior to this install in case that might have confused the OS.

It seems to me that you don't have to or aren't supposed to access the
BIOS and change the boot order when W2K is installing?

I was referring to the CMOS setting for startup order. If I have it set to Cdrom, A, C it won't see the
hard drive if there's a CD in the CDrom. Likewise if there's a floppy in it.

Usually it tells you to remove the CD-ROM and just reboot. Regardless
of boot order it just proceeds to the next device in the order list.

Please don't multi-post. It makes this really hard to follow.
