Disconnected Mapped Drives After Hibernation / Standby / Suspend

I have a user who frequently sends his laptop to hibernation / standby /
suspend mode (couldn't pin him down on which....). When he powers back on,
drives that are mapped via the logon script are disconnected, although they
do appear in Windows Explorer, as well as his home share being completely
MIA. In order for him to fully reconnect he has to do a reboot.

Is there a way around this? If not, no biggie, but is there a MS support
article that I can forward to him explaining why this happens?

It's likely you need to change the disconnect-timeout on the server.

For some obscure reason this affects some computers, but not others, and
it's been around since Win95 and NT server days. . Don't think the reason has
ever been established.

Oh that's wild... I hate when things are so fluky like that...

Thanks for the link & suggestion. Will give it a shot! Worse comes to
worse the user will just have to reboot... His laptop boots up in less than a
minute so it's not the end of the world by any means....

Thanks for the quick reply!!!

Just found another article that addresses a similar issue -
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/297684. In the past I've found that even if
the symptoms aren't EXACT MS solutions often work on related problems... So
maybe I'll give this a shot if your initial suggestion doesn't work....!

But "autodisconnect" is, without a doubt, the buzz word I was missing in all
my Googling yesterday. This was definitely the help I needed!! Thanks again!
