First off thank you for reading this. I have windows
XP. I am not on a network, and I have no admin. I
recently got a virus that attached to c://windows/system32
it attached as c://windows/system32/system32.exe. I got
rid of the virus but now i have to edit my registry
because every time i restart my comp an error comes up
about this file not being found. Unfortunatly every time
i try to edit registry it says that registry editing has
been disabled by admin...but i have no admin. I have
tried everything that i could find on the internet from
changing my security options...to changing the c drive
and down security options for parent and child files. I
have no idea what to do anymore...please help...thank you
so much

If the virus was:

W32/Swen@MM modifies various registry keys and disables the execution
of REGEDIT.EXE on the victim's machine. Additionally, the worm terminates
various processes on the victim's machine.

How do you clean your system if it's already infected?

Ensure that your virus definition DAT files are current. Detection is
included in the Daily DAT files (beta). W32/Swen@MM disables the execution
of REGEDIT.EXE. The UNDO.REG tool will reverse the changes made by the virus
and allow the user to execute REGEDIT.EXE as normal.
