Disable Outlook 2003 "Sign in with Microsoft .NET Passport" prompt?

I see that in Outlook 2002, you can disable this using the Instant
Messaging setting in (tools, options).

How does one disable this in Outlook 2003?

Thanks,

Tools, options, other tab.
You might want to keep it on if you use messenger as it works a bit
different(not so annoying) than it did in OL 2002.

Tools > Options > Other Tab... ???

On my Other Tab, I have a General section, an AutoArchive section, a
Reading Pane section, and a Person Names section.

The only possibly-relevant selection I could have made was to uncheck
the "Enable the Person Names Smart Tag"? I did that and restarted
Outlook. I still got the prompt.

(I also looked through the Advanced Options in the General section,
but found nothing relevant.)

I have used and touted Outlook for years, both professionally and
personally -- but this modal dialog box is really getting to me.

Any additional help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

That's the section.
What prompt are you getting? You didn't say anything about a problem, you
just asked where the settings for messenger were. If you have a problem or
error, please post it exactly as you see it and what your doing that makes
it come up.

My problem is that the "Sign in with Microsoft .NET Passport" dialog
box is raised automatically (not sure of the trigger still), and there
is no way to stop it without signing in. I can click X to cancel it,
but it pops up, buried in my emails, etc. I have to hunt it down to
cancel. It pops up a lot. I don't want to sign in. I want the prompt
to go away. That's my problem.

Hmmm.. that's strange. Even if I have messenger signed off and open outlook
it never prompts me for my .net password. Did you ever setup a .net passport
on this machine? Maybe check here and delete the passport if you don't need
it.
Start, run, type in: control userpassword2, hit enter, adnaced tab, manage
passwords, highlight the passport and remove it.

I use Outlook 2003 all the time and it has NEVER referenced Passport.

Ha! Know what it was?

In Outlook, at some time, I had turned on the Internet Free/Busy
option. (This was required because of some scheduling I had
participated in with a business partner outside of my Exchange
server.) It is not required for people within my company to see my
free/busy time in my Outlook calendar.

To turn it off, I selected Tools > Options > Calendar Options >
Free/Busy Options, and then deselected Internet Free/Busy options.

Phew!
