Disable Automatic Hardware detection

I have a SCSI device connected to my computer that I need
to keep connected but do not have drivers for. Everytime
I reboot, the New Hardware Detected wizard pops up and I
have to hit Cancel mutiple times to get it to go away.
Under device manager it shows up as an unrecognized
device for each instance of rebooting. Is there anyway I
can disable 2000 server from recognizing this device
everytime I reboot.
Any help is appreciated, thank you in advance!

No, do I need to? Is this my only option? Should I
disable it from the Device manager? The device needs to
stay plugged in so I would like to not have to disable it
if I don't have to.

Thank you!

If you go through the found new hardware dialogs there is an option to disable
unknown devices. Doing this prevent windows from seeing new hardware next
reboot.

You may still be able to access the device though ASPI applications.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the Reply. Where is the "Found New Hardware
dialogs" that you are referring to? In the Device
Manager?
