Whois is a way of querying a central database for a domain/IP to see who the owner is. NSLookup is a way of finding the IP address from a domain name.

You can run online tools to do both of these things online to give it a try :).

Some good Linux Tutorials Online if you Google that can help you more than we might?
And some Linux Forums even provide Step-by-Step instructions too.

What Security course are you doing??
