Difference between .NET Framework and .NET Compact Framework

What is the difference between .NET Framework and .NET Compact Framework
What functionality of .NET Framework is missing in .NET Compact Framework

There is a class library comparison file here

the desktop framework only, compact framework only, or both frameworks
