Desperate : Functions that will not work?????

I am running WP Pro with Access 2000. Everything ids fine.
Then I have a laptop with Win 2K also running Access 2000.
The Data is on the XP pc and the Laptop linked to that
tables. I synchronize the Laptop with the Pc from time to
time. Problem: When I open the same form or report on the
pc things are fine but on the laptop it asks for
perameters to some functions like "mid" and "right".
Nothing has been changed on either computer and it never
did this before. I have tried re-installing Access on the
laptop and a newer version of the msvbvm60.dll. Nothing
helped. Can someone please help me out?

P.S. I have only been working with Access for a few months
and still need to learn a lot so please keep it simple.

You have a problem with References.

From any code window, choose References on the Tools menu.
