Desktop Fonts and Backgrounds

I am running XP Home on both my desktop and my laptop computers. On my
desktop computer, the text under each desktop icon is white within a small
blue rectangle containing the text, making it easy to read regardless of
what wallpaper I select. On my laptop, there is no blue rectangle: just the
white text under each icon, and it's difficult to read with certain light
colored wallpapers. How can I modify the settings on my laptop to make it
the same as my desktop? Thanks in advance!

Right Click on the 'Desktop' on your laptop! (Sounds funny - aint' it).
Select Properties -> Appearance Tab and click 'Advanced' button. Select
'Desktop' from the 'Item' dropdown list and select the blue color in 'Color
1' box and click OK twice and it will work.

I tried that, but there is still no blue rectangle: just the white text.
