Desknote A928

M

Michael Vickery

I have a Desknote A928 notebook that got Coke spilled on the keyboard.
This is a second hand machine so I don't have the warranty information I
need to get it serviced, unfortunately. In spite of my best efforts to
clean the thing, it still registers keystrokes without me actually
touching anything.

I've purchased a small USB keyboard that works just fine with the
system, but it still registers keystrokes from the original board.
There's nothing in the BIOS to disable the original keyboard, and I
can't get the case open to try to physically disconnect it (even if I
trusted myself to do so). Does anyone have any suggestions for BIOS
updates or other suggestions for helping me? All I want is to be able
to use the USB keyboard. The manufacturer's support tech tried to foist
me off on another outlet because I was writing to them from Australia.

Thank you,

Michael...
