Dell E1505 is Slow, Slow, Slow

I recently purchased a Dell E1505 Dual Core T2500 and I'm finding it to be
significantly slower than my old Inspiron 4150 or 600M. Browsing is
especially painful sometimes taking up to 30 seconds to load a page with DSL.
I have 2g memory and have adjusted the virtual memory to 3069. I did a
flash bios with Dell that didn't accomplish much either. At this point I'm
ready to return it. Suggestions?

Thanks,

According to my knowledge, you don't need a Pagefile (Virtual Memory) if you
have 2GB of Memory. Check you computer for viruses and especially spywares.
Regular Scan and Defrag your drives.

Leave win to manage the page file, any attempt to delete it, or set it v.low
will allmost certainly cause problems.

Presumably you updated win? have you run an AVscan, and run spyware scans?
What AV app is installed?
niether memory, or cpu should have any, or v.little, impact on surfing

BZZT--wrong answer. You definitely need a pagefile.
