Hi,
I have a pre-Outlook 2003 pst file that has hit the 2GB size limit,
and I cannot delete/move any messages from any folder in it.
Shift-delete won't work either. The file is already compressed.
I've tried importing messages from this pst file into an Outlook 2003
pst file
(which doesn't have the 2GB size limit) using Outlook 2003, but the
import
process is incomplete. There are certain folders in the pre-Outlook
2003
pst file that won't display the contents (or get imported) and shows
this error:
"Unable to display the folder. The file [...].pst has reached its
maximum size.
To reduce the amount of data in this file, select some items that you
no longer
need and then permanently delete them by pressing shift-delete. You
could
also consider using the new Outlok Personal Folders file (.pst)
introduced
with Outlook 2003 that provides greater capacity for storing items and
folders."
I'm completely stuck. How can I either (1) delete some messages from
the old pst file
to free up some space or (2) get the import process to complete
successfully?
Thanks.
