DCOM error with Novell Client

I recently installed an HP color laser printer and since the installation
with their "HP Toolbox" software that utilizes a Tomcat server, I now have
problems with mapped drives through my Novell client and continue to receive
error messages in the XP event viewer. I get Microsoft Event ID 10009 "DCOM
was unable to communicate with the computer ??? using any of the configured
protocols"
After an extended period of inactivity, my Novell mapped network drives are
no longer available and when I attempt to do the Novell Login, it cannot
find the server, even though the drive letter still shows up under "My
Computer". I'm forced to reboot the computer and the DCOM error appears
consistently in the event viewer. I checked my Norton Firewall software, and
tried to eliminate any other possible causes. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

According to HP tech support, users in a Windows XP environment with Novell
Client software cannot run their HP Toolbox software because their not
compatible with each other. Their solution? UNINSTALL the software. It
worked, but now I don't have the use of toner level status for my printer.
