Yup, me too. Pages are taking 1.5 mins or more to load too.

Awww, poor Ian, it's as if the machinery "knows" when he's on a break ... it's a plot!!

The whole site has been shot for the last three hours or so, I'm afraid :(

Not sure what it is yet - this really has me stumped

The server load is through the roof, but nothing seems to be wrong. :(

I've made some changes that might do the trick - all of the on server backup layers failed, but this should have alerted the hosting company that something was wrong (and didn't). I'm talking to them now to get this sorted, as this shouldn't have ever happened

I've had some rotten luck with hardware failing this week, but ironically my router seems to have fixed itself now

edit: please do let me know if this has done the trick at your end, or if it runs slower/faster - as this can help me diagnose the problem :thumb:

To be honest, it has been intermittent here, normal one minute, but slowing right down the next. It doesn't seem to follow any particular pattern (here) as far as I can tell.

Looks like I'm going to have to work on it again tomorrow, I'm not sure what's changed over the last few days but I'll give the server an overhaul in the morning :)

Wiz

Just checking Wiz, was it the database error you got?

The server seems to be running well at the moment, but I'll try again in mid day tomorrow and see if the load shoots up. :thumb:

Thanks Wiz.

I've made another change tonight that should hopefully speed things up ("reducing the time before refreshing the worker processes"... apparently  )
