DATA EXECUTION PREVENTION - MICROSOFT
That error message is constantly popping up on my screen and I am unable to
close it. Can someone tell me how to get rid of that error. From looking at
other users having the same problem, I thought it might've been due to some
HP drivers, but I uninstalled the HP printer and software that was on the
machine.. The message still appears...Is there a way to find out which
application is running under this service? I also changed the settings in DEP
and that didn't work either...

Thanks in advance

Something that is running under SVCHOST.EXE is misbehaving and is
triggering DEP.

Unfortunately there are normally about 6 different instances of
SVCHOST.EXE running at all times, and many of these instances are
supporting multiple drivers/modules. We need to pinpoint at least
which instance of SVCHOST.EXE is involved.

Right-click on My Computer and select Manage. Expand the Event Viewer
category and browse through each of the sub-categories looking for
items (probably red-flagged error records) whose date and time stamps
correspond to your DEP errors. Double-click on an error message to
see the details of that error. Hopefully this will provide a more
detailed error message including a memory address and/or a specific
driver name.

Good luck
