Data Entry Form - Can't enter data?

I am using version '02
I have a form bound to a query that will not let me enter
any data into the fields. It's as if they are locked, but
they are not. What can i do?

Open just the query.
Is the Add a New Record button grayed out.
If so, then the query is not updateable.

See Access Help regarding Queries to determine which can be, and which
cannot be, updated.

If the query is too complex it will be un-updatable. Look
in the bottom left corner of the Access window, if you get
some message advising that the recordset is cannot be
updated. If this is the case you need to rethink the
query.

The query is very simple. It's just a select query, no
limiting criteria, and a simple table joined....????
