Hello I am having trouble installing a wirless pcmcia network adaptor model
D-link DWL-650+ on a NEC M320 LA(TOP with XP pro (greek version), the link
towards the support page of the PCMCIA is:
http://support.dlink.com/products/view.asp?productid=DWL-650+
When I try to install the driver, at the end of the driver installation XP
freezes, and the only thing I can do is RESET the laptop, then XP loads up
to the the boot screen with the XP logo on it, and freezes. I have to go
into safe mode and do a system restore in order for me to get into windows
again. The same card is working on another laptop that has windows 98. I
have tried all the various versions of the drivers. This product is
compatible with windows XP (or so the dlink site says), so my conclusion is
that there is some kind of hardware conflict with the pcmcia card. On the
support of the network card I see that some laptops have problems with this
card. Does the NEC M320 have this sort of problem? How can I resolve this
issue?
HELP!!!!!!!
Thanks in advance for your help and support.
