Crosstab or pivot table

Is it possible to create a crosstab query or pivot table that summarizes the
data without the calculations? I have a table that lists courses that are
taught (including which semester and which period of the day) and a table
that lists the instructors. I need to combine the two in a crosstab type of
arrangment that shows the instructors as row headings and Periods as column
headings. I would like the course titles to display for each instructor at a
given period. My problem is setting up a query that does this. It seems like
a crosstab array, but I don't want it to sum, count, etc on the values. I
also tried a pivot table, but it also seems designed to summarize the data
through calculations. I hope this makes sense. Any help is appreciated.
