critical updates installed-not really installed?

I have downloaded and installed 9 critical updates and it confirms they are
installed, I go back to updates and it wants to do them again, I don't think
they are really installed.

You can download the Windows XP version of Qfecheck.exe which verifies the
installation of Windows XP Hotfixes.
