Creating music files using an external music source.

Hi, I want to use my stereo, or another device, to play
music and create some music files on my computer. I have
a small radio that plays cassettes and also my stereo
that has options, such as a turntable. My radio only has
an earphone jack. No output jacks of any other kind. Can
I route that to one of my line in, headphone jacks on my
computer? Also, do you know what the impedance of the
line in jack is? So that I can use it to record music
from my stereo. Any help in this area will be
appreciated. [:>) JWP

Yeah, you can do this (I've done this), but it requires an unusual cable
connection I believe. I think you just need a double male-ended wire...
your local computer/electronics store (Radio Shack, Frys, etc) may have one.
