Corrupt .pst in Outlook 2007

My Outlook.pst file won't open in Outlook 2007. It kept on saying that it
was not a personal files folder. Whenever I tried to run the repair utility,
it would get stuck.
So, I transferred the Outlook.pst to another computer and ran the old repair
program there. It seems like it will import into Outlook 2003 (the version
on the second computer) just fine. However, when I try to bring to back to
Outlook 2007, it says there is an error in the file and I should run the
repair utility.
However, when I do that, it gets to stage 4 then crashes saying it
encountered an error and that no changes were made. Any ideas?

First, don't use the 2007 repair utility. It is still broken and does
more harm than good.
Import the file into your running copy of Outlook 2003. Create a new
Unicode PST there, and copy all folders over (don't use import/export,
that feature has its problems as well). Use copy & paste or the copy
folders command. It's a bit annoying to have to do this for your
calendar, contacts, notes, journal as well, but you should be able to do
it.
Then make a backup copy of that file. Take the file and try to open it
in 2007.
Do you still get an error?
