Copying- cloning data from one PC to another info needed

I want to copy- transfer all C: drive programs over to another PC.
My question is how does "it" deal with the different
hardware -specifications on the other PC?
Also what program/ method may be best to use.
Both PC's use(will) Win2K, the 'Master' is a P11 233 machine and the move to
PC is a Celeron 400 with extra hardware.
TIA,
Peter Stacey

Assuming you are running Win9x or later, share out your C: on the source
machine with a name like FOO. One the destination machine, do Tool>Map
network drive to assign a drive letter to FOO. Now, you can use My
Computer twice and drag-and-drop between the two. This will move the
files, but you will still have problems wrt the registry.

The usual method consist of using a cloning program such as
PartitionMagic to create an exact replica of your original disk.
You then need to prepare Windows for the new hardware -

I forgot to mention that both PC's have a network card and are cable
connected. Not sure if this makes it easier or adds another complication.
