Copy file from Corrupted Hard Drive

Hi,
This is my question. I have NTFS formated hard drive that its registry is
corrupted. Can not even start in a Safe Mode or any Mode. The error message
I got is something to do with the Corrupted Registry and can't load "Hive".
\Microsoft\...\SOFTWARE
I need to copy files from this hard drive. So, I try to mount it to another
working machine (also Windows XP).
I can access the drive that the file is under a User ID's MY Document's
area. When I click on it, it tells me access denied.
How do I get to those files.

Any idea or suggestion is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
