converting macintosh word docs into windows word docs

I have a number od files generated on a Macintosh in word format. How can i
convert a macintosh word doc into windows word 2007. Is it possible? Ihave
windows vista with office 2007. I don't have a macintosh.

Word 2004 Mac docs should open fine in 2007.

As Summer has already pointed out, '07 should open the Mac Word docs exactly
as if they had been done in a prior version of PC Word. There could be some
issues with fonts/formatting & images depending on a number of variables,
but that shouldn't be the typical case. Once opened they can be converted to
..docx exactly as any other .doc would be.

If they further need to be used by Mac users I'd suggest continuing to save
them in their current format. Otherwise the Mac users will have to have the
Beta filters to reopen them & something could get lost in the translation.
