converging multiple DVD contents to one DVD

I have a mini DVD cam-corder, and want to download the contents of several
mini's and burn them onto a single DVD. Can anyone tell me how to go about
this, please?

I have a Pavilion a430n desktop, with a hp dvdwriter/cd-writer combo, and a
cd-rom drawer on my desktop.

ConvertX2DVD is a great program for converting almost any video formats
to a DVD. It allows you to adjust the menu, titles etc. Its not a
$2000 video editing program but it does allow you to burn DVD's with
multiple movies. You can't edit the movies.
Get the trial and try it. I love it.

For more editing of the movies, I've used Magix Movie Edit Pro 11
(couple of years old now). Kinda looks like Windows Movie Maker in XP.
It converts some formats to its internal format so it can be edited,
then you can burn and edit the dvd menu and titles.

The two between then are affordable.

I probably didn't explain how dumb I am, Al. I don't know how to move the
movie from the mini DVD to the computer, and then how to locate it and get
it(and others hopefully) back onto a full sized DVD. Bo

Read below. First off, I give you more credit that you give yourself.
I can't believe you drag and drop a movie from the mini-dvd to some
place on you PC and you don't know where it is or how to locate it.
When you dropped it, you picked some folder, its still there. But
again...read below, I'll give it a try for the hell of it and you can do
what you want.
I'll try this for the exercise, I got 15 minutes till the noon tv show:

You don't have to know how to move etc. If you know how to point a
mouse then you simply run the program, click add video and point in an
explorer type window to your mini dvd from your cam corder that is in
your dvd drive.
It will extract the video for you. It will only accept properly
formatted movies. It won't accept the config files on a dvd so you're
in luck.

What kind of help are you looking for then if this is over your head?

And please bottom post, like a book reads top to bottom.

When we try using the Hewlitt Packard 'Movie Maker' function, everything
seems to go fine, until it's time to drag the movie over into the Burn list.
It never moves, and we are completely stumped as to how to finish what we
keep trying unsuccessfully to accomplish. Man, I hope this makes sense...???

Not sure about the HP movie maker program. I hope you are not talking
about Microsoft's Windows Movie Maker that is in XP? Are you? Hit the
about and see what the full name is and version. Mine actually comes
up with a Windows logo etc and says MS Windows Movie Maker and SP3 etc
etc. all the windows earmarks.

If you have a special HP product then you need to read the help as to
what video formats they support. Which brngs to question, what is the
extension of the files your camera creates??

One thing you can do, is get a universal video converter to change your
camcorder output to something your movie maker WILL accept.

We don't seem to have the Windows movie maker in our programs list, so I
suppose it must be the HP movie maker. Unfortunately their help screen
doesn't help much, and I can't find a way to write to them for help, as we
are doing. Thanks very much for you help.
