Connection icon disappears

Discussion in 'Windows XP Networking' started by Larry Gottlieb, Aug 20, 2004.

  1. When I connect to the Internet via dial-up, the
connection icon doesn't appear in the system tray. I
thought I'd create a shortcut on the desktop to the dun
icon, but there is no "network connections" control panel
(this is XP Home edition). So I can't disconnect from
the Internet without quitting the application that caused
it to dial. Anyone know why?
