Connect Win XP Home to Win XP Home

We have two laptops, both have WinXP Home edition. Both are setup with File
and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks and are setup in the same
workgroup. When I try to access either from the other in My Network Places
I get a "Connect to..." dialog box that has the "User Name" greyed out and
is set to the Guest account of the machine. The problem is that the Guest
account is turned off on both laptops.
Is there a way in XP Home to setup the Connect to to be able to connect
using a different user name?
Thanks for your time!

Setup:
Wireless networking via DLink DI-614+ Router which acts as the DHCP Server.
That works fine. In fact both machines access the internet without any
issues.

Hey, just bought XP Pro and I can't get it to see either of my XP home computers. The Pro can ping and get reply's from the Home, but home can't get reply's from pro. Any ideas?

Run the Network Setup Wizard on both computers to fully enable file
sharing, and tell it that they connect to the Internet through a
residential gateway (router).

Turning off the Guest account in Control Panel | User Accounts has no
effect on network access. It simply prevents anyone from logging on
as Guest from the local keyboard.

Make sure that the Guest account is enabled for network access by
entering this line at a command prompt:

net user guest /active:yes

If you've explicitly defined a password for the Guest account, enter
that password at the "Connect to..." dialog box.

Thanks...

I ran the Network Setup Wizard as you suggested and it completely setup file
sharing, it also setup a bridged network. I had some issues with internet
access with the "bridged network" setup so I deleted the bridge from network
connections and then the internet went back to normal. It also left the
file sharing. So everything works great now...

Thanks again!

You're welcome, Jobe. The Network Setup Wizard apparently thinks that
it's being helpful when it automatically creates a network bridge, but
I've also seen many times where the bridge causes problems. That's
especially true when one of the bridged connections uses IEEE 1394
(FireWire).
