Confusion regarding C# and C#.net

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me is tehre any difference between c# and C#.net

any help will be truely appreciated.

MS has only 1 C#. With VB, one had to distinguish between VB (old) and
VB.Net. With c#, that is not required as c# and .net go together.
