Ok I'm new to this so be gentle.

I just downloaded Adobe reader 9 onto 2 laptops. 1 is running Vista the other is XP.

Whenever I open up a word document on the Vista laptop I get this:

compile error in hidden module autoexec

I did get it initially when I opened up word docs on the XP laptop but it seems to have gone away.

I know very little about computers so any help greatly received but it will need to be in simple/idiot proof guidelines as I struggle with even the basics.

If this has just happened when you installed Adobe reader remove Adobe and see if everything is OK,

If it is download Foxit reader {free} and in my opinion better than Adobe
