Company logo in master slide

Peter Marshal

Hello,

I would like to put my company logo on the master slide so
that every slide gets it. That part is simple. Here
comes the difficult part:

I would not like anybody else to be able to modify the
master slide to remove the logo. Thus somewhere the logo
must be hardcoded into the master slide.

Is there some means to do this?

thanks in anticipation.

Create your background as an image in an image editor. Size it to the
same size as your slide, and add the logo.

Then go to PPT and use Format/Background. In the Fill Effects options,
go to the Picture tab and select the background image you created.

You can make the whole background of the slide a single graphic (bitmap) that
includes the logo, which would discourage most casual users.

Anybody who's really determined can still get rid of your logo, and fairly
easily. Some form of password protection might be a better bet. You can read
up on various alternatives here:

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint does not have the specific capability that you are looking for.
Currently all security and protection features in PowerPoint are applied to
the entire file (not to particular items within a file such as Master
formatting).

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
provide more granular control over who can do what with different parts of
a presentation (without having to resort to VBA or add-ins), don't forget
to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
