COLOR HIGHLIGHTER TOOL/ICON MISSING FROM OUTLOOK 2003

Dear Microsoft and fellow Outlook 2003 users...

Recently I installed Outlook 2003 only to discover a favorite tool appears
to be missing... the COLOR HIGHLIGHT icon that I generally used in most of my
office correspondence. Others here have had the same problem and cannot get
an answer from Microsoft.

If it was omitted purposely, why do this considering all the terrific
improvements on the 2003 version? If it was omitted inadvertently or located
somewhere within the program other than 'customize' toolbar, than how to I
locate and install it, or can it be downloaded or imported somehow?

Sincerely,
R. Lee

Vince...
Thanks for your prompt reply. Seems using WORD and my e-mail editor
previously had something to do with the HIGHLIGHTER issue... I'll back track
and double check everything. Perhaps our IT may have changed some settings
while installing new programs!? Thanks for the suggestion... Happy Hollidays!

did anyone come up with how to get the highlighter in Outlook 2003. I'm using
Word as the editor and it is available in there but not in outlook, even
though I have set it to use Word as the editor.

Highlighting is not available in Outlook when Outlook uses its own
editor. If Word is used as the message editor, it is there.
