CMD.EXE found in running processes?

Ive just noticed something strage.

I use win xp pro and i noted that my pc seemed a bit slow. It seems
that recently,everytime i log in to my account,cmd.exe starts up in
the running processes,there is no sign of it on the desktop,i.e no dos
window or anything,and also it is engaging the cpu to about 95% thus
leaving the pc very slow. Can anyone suggest whats going on ?. If i
terminate the cmd.exe process as is well again and there appears to be
no detriment to the system..

joe;

Look in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
and
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Here\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
to see if there is a shortcut to cmd.exe.
=====

Start | Run | Type: msconfig | OK |
Startup tab | Any reference to cmd.exe?
========

Update your Anti Virus software and run a complete scan.
