Cluster Disk Problem - Unable to Bring Disk to Online

I have a problem recently where some of the drive resource in a cluster
started to fail to go online.

OS: Windows 2000 Advanced Server (SP4)
HBA: Emulex 9002
SAN: IBM FastT 600

The following event ID appears in the event log:
Event 1069
Event 1038
Event 1066

Here is the content of the Cluster.log file.

DiskspCheckPath: GetFileAttrs(G returned status of 87.

Have anyone come across any of this before? There's currently no mapped
drive for both the login user managing the cluster as well as the cluster
service account.

I would guess that the drive letter changed for this disk resource. You
might try disabling clusdisk driver on the nodes and checking this to verify
that the disk resource is still using the G: drive letter.

I have also performed the following:-
1. Disable Cluster Disk Driver on both servers and Set the Cluster Service
to Manual.
2. Shutdown both servers
3. Bring HQAPTERAS1 up and the drives are successfully accessible using the
Computer Explorer.
4. Enable Cluster Disk driver. Set Cluster Service Startup mode to
automatic. Shutdown HQAPTERAS1.
5. Bring HQAPTERAS2 up and the drives are successfully accessible using the
Computer Explorer.
6. Enable Cluster Disk driver. Set Cluster Service Startup mode to
automatic. Shutdown HQAPTERAS2.
7. Boot up HQAPTERAS2 followed by HQAPTERAS1.
8. I performed move group for all the Cluster Group:-
a. HQAPTERAS2 to HQAPTERAS1 – all success
b. HQAPTERAS1 to HQAPTERAS2 – all success
c. HQAPTERAS2 to HQAPTERAS1 – all success except IDDM (caused by L: drive
and G: drive).

Same error appear in the Cluster log file. The funny thing is that the I
managed to move the group to another server initially but no longer
successful on the second try.
