A friends computer has this installed, presumably by her son and
wanted it removed along with Kazaa, P2P Networking and a load of other
    junk.

I removed all spyware etc. no problem but removing Client Service for
Netware seems to break the ip/tcp connection to the internet (via
cable modem). I have been through it with the ISP support who say the
modem is on line and functioning and windows XP sees the network card
but it cannot get an ip address via DHCP from the server, it always
get an internal private address assigned by windows.

Using ipconfig /renew throws up an error so it could not find a socket
(sorry that's not the exact phrase as the OS is in Danish)

I have deleted the network card and let windows reinstall it all to no
avail. I have tried Installing the Client Service again after removing
it but that does not restore the internet connection. The only way I
can get the net connection back is though system restore to a point
before I removed Client Service for Netware.

Any ideas anyone? Maybe repair the XP installation is the only way to
    go?

    thanks
    Barry
