I have a movie already captured using Moviestar by Dazzle. I am trying to
burn that movie to a dvd. I have tried the MyDVD that comes with it and it
is giving me too many error messages. I thought I would try using this but
when I try to import the clip (its is a mpg file) it gives me Class not
registered error message and won't let me import.

I still get the same error message after I converted to an .avi file. I am
getting really frustrated with this I have been working on this for 7 days
now.

Yes...it can be frustrating.

Hmmm...did you try converting to .wmv?

Maybe the following info will include something useful:

Movie Maker always has to close

Here's a link to a Google search that may
offer something useful:

"class not registered"

Also might be worth a try to:

1. Install/reinstall Windows Media Encoder 9
2. Update Video drivers.

No guarantees...but it might be worth
a try to run the following command.

Go to...Start / Run...and type (or copy / paste)
the following...

regsvr32 %windir%\system32\qdv.dll
(yes, there's a space between the first 2 and %)

Press Enter.

You should see a dialog that says:

DllRegisterServer in C:\WINDOWS\system32\qdv.dll succeeded
