Chess Titans - "Show Tips" in "Game -> Options" menu item

Show Tips is a checkbox in the dialog that pops up when you click the "Game -> Options" menu item. But it doesn't seem to do anything. What is it supposed to do? Where do I see the "tips" it is "showing"?
