Changing default destination for 'File Open' ?

Hello -
I'm a newbie here. I am on Win XP Pro. This may either be a stupid
question or a no-brainer. My problem is that I have 2 hard drives and the
default "My Documents" folder that most programs go to automatically when I
do file/open from within a software program is on my C: drive. But I also
have a 'My Documents' folder on my D: drive (which is named 'backup') and
that's where I really keep my current files. I do this so that if I have to
reformat C: or re-install Windows XP, my real documents remain intact.
If it is possible, I'd like to be able to change it so that when I do
file/open from within a program, it goes to the 'My Documents' folder that
is on my D: drive and Not the C: drive. Is this possible ? It would make my
computer experience much more pleasant !! I appreciate any help.
Thanks,...Frank Bright

Thanks Ramesh !! That was pretty obvious !! I just never go into the 'My
Documents" from the desktop so I never even thought of looking there. I
looked everywhere else but there. Many Thanks, things are much easier
now...Frank

You're welcome Frank! You can relocate the other special folders as well.
This can be accomplished using TweakUI PowerToy or through direct registry
editing.
