I can not change the way that users can do log in or off ...

When I go to control panel / users account and try to change the way for
logging on or off, XP gaves me an error that:

"A recently installed program has disabled the Welcome screen and Fast User
Switching. To restore these features, you must unistall the program. The
following name might help you identify the program that made the change:
iwpdgina.dll"

As I didn't installed any other programs on this windows, I don't know how
to fix this error ... !!!

Could anyone help me for fixxing this issue ???

Thanks & Regards

From a glance at the results of a google search, it looks like iwpdgina.dll
is a part of "Intel Pro/Wireless Network Connection" also referred to as
"PROSet." Sound familiar?

Using features of this software, replaces msgina.dll with the iwpdgina.dll.
By replacing that file, the result is a loss of the XP style welcome
screen. We've seen other software with their private *GINA.dlls do this too

One reference that I found appears to be a PDF compilation of bugs written
during beta testing. So I don't know if this has been fixed in newer
versions of the Intel software or not. That's something that you may want
to follow up on with Intel.

If XP's Wireless Zero Configuration covers your needs for configuring
wireless connections, may want to go ahead and uninstall the Intel
software. If uninstalling does not restore msgina.dll and the welcome
screen, you could try MVP Doug Knox's fix for this:

Intel PROSet Wireless has a feature that logs you onto your wireless network before you log onto Windows. Perhaps it is this particular feature of Intel PROSet that is interfering with the Windows Log-On screen?

I have run this fix by Doug Knox and it works.

I am trying to ascertain whether running this fix has disabled the feature in Intel PROSet that logs me onto the wireless network prior to Windows log-on...

Pre-Logon Connect is the problem

If you like using PROset, but want your logon to still use the welcome screen, do this:
1) Open add/remove programs in the control panel
2) Select Change/Remove for Intel PROset
3) Select Modify
4) Hit the little "+" sign next to Single Sign On
5) Then click on the Check Mark next to Pre-Logon Connect and select "Do not install this option."
6) Click on the Modify button and let it remove the problematic part of PROset
7) Follow the onscreen direction and then restart.

After restart you might have to go into User Account (in control panel) and click on "Change the way users log on or off" and select "Use the Welcome Screen."

Hope this helps!

Faster XP logon with best wireless performance

Eric provides a solution that works perfectly on machines that are unmolested - no prior hacks to the registry or other draconian workarounds. Intel delivers better wireless utilities than Microsoft. PROset shows channel ID and signal strength from nearby WAPs - info that is critical for effective spectrum management in airspace congested by many neighbors. If Layer 1 (PHY) is unmanaged, the rest of the stack fails. Microsoft ignores this fundamental fact, causing users who depend upon Microsoft wireless management to suffer loss of link events that seem to occur without explanation. If you want the best wireless performance, with the fastest XP logon, follow the advice that Eric provided below - don't download an EXE file that hacks your registry.

Exactly! Thats what I was looking for. Nice & Neat solution. Thanks graybeard for further supporting Eric's solution. Your post made me realise & be proud that I have "unmolested" registry. Vow!
