Capturing VCR footage via Sony DV Camcorder without recording to Tape first

Hi

I have a wedding video on VHS that I wish to put onto my PC. My Sony camcorder has the ability to grab an analog source and send it through to PC via firewire without writing it the dv tape first (i.e realtime

When I select capture from video device the preview screen shows the wedding video but when I start capture I only have the options to automatically start at the beginning of tape or manual in which both only capture what is on my dv tape instead. Is there anyway around this

Use Sonys Image ready to do you capture.

And remember to steream Audio thorugh the usb as well.
Then go ahead and edit in Microsofts Movie Maker 2
and then burn to a cd using Veritas Record now

It works,

Thank you,

Anthony
