Can't set margins in page setup for labels

I am trying to create mailing labels in Access 2003 using the wizard. I want
the Avery 8160 with 3 across and 10 down (30 labels). It will not create 10
down only 9. If I try to change the margins to match label margins from my
access 2000 labels which are correct it will not accept the bottom margin
setting of 0.116 it keeps defaulting back to .55 Margin settings I am trying
to use are Top: 0.5 Bottom: 0.116 Left: 0.3 Right: 0.3

Use the wizard created report and then set the top margin to .45 and bottom
to .55. Then move each control in your detail section down 0.05".

You can't set a bottom margin less than your printer will allow. Most inkjet
printers won't print within 0.5" from the bottom.

I read another post after I submitted this last night. They suggested setting
the top margina at .4 and the bottom at .6 , this did the trick for me, after
trying about a million things and two hours later. The strange thing is that
I am using the same printer for two computers one with w98 (it has office
2000) and one with WinXP (it has office 2003) The margins on the 2000 labels
are set at top .5 and bottom .116, but on the 2003 it kept defaulting back to
..55 on the bottom. I understand what you are saying about printer margins,
but shouldn't they print the same on the same printer? I have found that the
label wizard does not work properly in Access 2003, is this a bug in the
program?

I expect the issue is the printer driver. I am not aware of any issues in
Access 2003. You must have a default printer designated in order to create
reports.

Is there a way to set a default printer for Access only? I have a newer ink
jet printer that I use but the label wizard still does not set the labels
correctly on it. The newer printer is not set as my default printer. My older
printer is set as the default printer on my WinXP computer.

No, but you can set a default printer for a specific report. If you go into
Page Setup there is a choice to use either "Default Printer" or "Use Specific
Printer".
