I am not even getting an error message, I will hit the send button, and then
it will go to my outbox instead of the sent messages. It won't send nothing!

Try to move the messages currently in the Outbox to the Drafts folder.
If any of those can't be moved or deleted, go to
http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/62560-windows-mail-problems.html
and take the actions described under "FIRST" and "SECOND".

It isn't clear to me from your brief response whether you were able to
move all messages out of the Outbox, or whether you went to that
URL link and attempted any of the corrective action.

Since you are not getting any error message, this leads me to
guess that your WM is getting interference from your antivirus.
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee
or Norton security programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see

Running Windows Vista, Go Daddy E-Mail Account, I can receive, cannot send.
Having this problem since Friday: "Your server has unexpectedly terminated
the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network
problems, or a long period of inactivity. Subject 'Read: TransUnion
Membership', Account: 'pop.secureserver.net.', Server:
'smtpout.secureserver.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket

Thank you for including the complete error message. It makes my
job so much easier.
GoDaddy's smtpout.secureserver.net is very flexible in that it works
on three different ports, 25, 80 and 3535. I recommend that you change
the current port assignment from 25 to 80. To do so, go to Tools,
Accounts, select the secureserver.net account, Properties, Advances,
where you will see the box for the outgoing mail server port number.

I've been having exactly the same problem as detailed below since yesterday
afternoon. Before that (and since February) everything has worked fine. Why
has this suddenly happened now ???

My guess is that your anti-virus has for the first time removed an EML file
without letting Windows Mail know it has done so.

Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
that is running Windows Vista
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090
It also works on other folders.

This is my error message...can you help?

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject '', Account: 'integri-T Mail', Server: 'smtp.1and1.com',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

Thanks.

As you probably know, 1and1.com is not an ISP. As such, your
real ISP will block any attempt to use an external SMTP server on
port 25. This is a universal anti-spamming measure, see
http://www.postcastserver.com/help/Port_25_Blocking.aspx

As a workaround, I suggest you substitute your ISP's SMTP server
for smtp.1and1.com. Do not change the incoming server.

Outgoing mail goes to the Outbox before it is sent. It may have gone
on to the outgoing email server so fast you didn't notice this before.

You may want to check if your email account under Windows Mail
is set up correctly:

<http://www.comcast.net/help/faq/index.jsp?faq=Emailtop17686&cookieattempt=1>

These instructions were written for Outlook Express, but should
also work under Windows Mail if you avoid the One Click Fix.

If this doesn't help, try to move the oldest message in the Outbox
to the Drafts folder, or delete it, then restart Windows Mail. If it
won't do either, let us know you need the fix for that, and mention
what if any antivirus programs you have.
