cant open more than 1 web page at one time

if i check email in one page and i try to open another
page it just totally cancels my first page and takes over
so i cant get more than one page open Why?

Go to IE>tools>internet options>advanced>scroll to 'reuse windows for
launching shortcuts', disable it. apply/ok your way out.
