Can't Install iTunes/Quicktime

Guest

The installation fails because I have "insufficient access" to a key in the
registry.

The key is:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Apple Computer, Inc.\Quicktime\Installed File
Types\3g2, 3gp2.

When I hop into regedit and try to open the "Apple Computer, Inc." folder,
windows says, "Error while opening key".

My account is THE Administrator account.

I added a registry key to give me elevated privileges using the instructions
at:
http://support.installshield.com/kb/view.asp?pcode=WIND700E&articleid=Q105140.

I modified two registry keys to give me full control per the instructions
at: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93865.

Neither worked.

What must I do to be able to install this software?

Thanks,
Mike

I had it install without ado.
(XP Home, 1 user, QT6 Pro already installed)

Which unfortunately does not help you out.

Note for others:
Installing QT7 over QT6 Pro has you lose the Pro features.
Upgrading is at full price, which now includes VAT for EU citizens.
