Can't install client apps on a XP pro domain client.

When I log into an XP pro client as administrator and try to install let's
say MS office I can't install because I don't have sufficient rights. Is
there a simple answer to this? Is there a difference between that active
directory administrator on the server vs. the XP client? The server version
is 2003.

Hi,

Are you logged on to XP using as a administrator of the local machine. Then
you have FULL rights to install / modify / delete any applications. If you
logged on as Domain user on XP machine, add domain user as a member of
local administrator.

Thanks,

In order to install applications on the client you will need to be either a
member of the local administrators group or local power users group.
